12/25/2023 0 Comments Parsec game screen froze![]() ![]() The game doesn't require that much processing power and runs smoothly on my Intel chipped laptop, it just simply crashes after an hour of game play regardless of what areas are visited within that hour. When Im connected to my host PC and try to open VMWare or Task Manager, the client is suddenly not able to control anything anymore, I cannot even close those programs to regain control. I think the graphics of the Intel chips are wigging the game out cause I recently played two straight hours on the AMD rig with no issues whatsoever. Doesn't usually crash, it does recover, but the 'pausing' effect is fairly regular, like every few minutes or so. Like a freeze/lock up for 1-10 seconds, then continues on it's way. 3) Game works fine for about 3 seconds, then HALTS on a single frame. In recent history I straight up cant play the game which is unfortunate cause this is truly one of my favorite games despite me never actually finishing it. When I enter the game I can play just fine until I alt-tab. However everything was smooth sailing after that point. I've been able to play this game before with minimal crashing mainly around the sewers with that large drop into leech infested water. If you all have the game, you should connect to the person with the best internet speed and/or most powerful PC. Who should host the game depends mostly on who owns the game that you want to play. I have another rig with an AMD processor and GPU so I'll likely try the game on that rig and report if anything is different. With Parsec, you can either host or join a game.
